Job Context:
∎ The Disease Surveillance & Reporting Officer will be responsible for organizing RI`s health program data and information/data in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh. RI is in the process of establishing mobile health units and expanding mobile health coverage to new arrivals in Cox`s Bazar. This position will be responsible for managing data and information collection for health activities. Prior experience with developing data collection systems during program start-up and/or for mobile health services is highly prioritized.

∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize RI's epidemiological data management objectives in the project.
∎ Travel to the field with mobile teams to provide quality assurance checks on data collected
∎ Advise the RI team on epidemiological matters that arise in the course of implementation, and when necessary devise new data collection tools to meet epidemiological / disease surveillance needs.
∎ Develop systems to ensure collection of medical information during early program design/start-up phases
∎ Support entry, aggregation, and compilation of data
∎ Organize collection/analysis of medical data for activity reports. Train the registrar and other medical staff on preparing these reports.
∎ Support other departments with data collection needs as needed

∎ Experience developing and managing data collection systems for disease surveillance
∎ Ability to train and supervise staff and prioritize competing tasks
∎ Local knowledge of Chittagonian required; knowledge of Rohingya an asset.
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
