Advanced degree or certifications in project management are highly desirable. Preference will given to Ph.D./M.Phil. in relevant subject.

  • Age 40 to 50 years
  1. At least 15 years’ experience out of which 03 years practical experience in project coordination, proposal writing, management and implementation.

  2. Written and oral communication skills both in English & Bangla.

  3. Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.)

  4. Excellent communication, advocacy, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  5. Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.

  6. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

  7. Willingness to travel and work in the remote areas.

Job Context: 

Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a non-profit, non-political development organization established in December 1992. Mission of IDF is to combat poverty in the impassable hilly regions and other un-served areas of Bangladesh by providing poor citizens with financial and opportunities such as capital, inputs, appropriate safety-nets and services to ensure their socio-economic upliftment. 

Job Responsibilities:  

The duties and responsibilities of the Director - Project are as follows:

  • Design and develop comprehensive project proposals, concept notes, and Expression of Interest (EOI) documents, ensuring alignment with donors` specifications and guidelines.
  • Prepare project proposals, concept notes, and EOIs for IDF Partners as appropriate. Effectively communicating the organization`s vision, goals, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and subject matter experts, to gather requirements and define project specifications.
  • Project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, and design specifications.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators.·        Oversee project planning, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure adherence of timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing best practices for risk management.
  • Optimize resource allocation across projects for efficient utilization.
  • Implement and monitor project management best practices for high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring financial discipline and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze project data to derive insights for optimizing project management practices.
