Job Context:
∎ The Director (Finance) is appointed to his/her position by the Executive Director and is responsible to the Executive Director for professional tasks and the execution of his/ her duties which includes Finance & Accounts. As Director (Finance) s/he will be responsible for overall management of Financial matters of the organization including financial policies, procedures and system in the context of RDRS strategy, preparation of budget, overseeing the execution of budget and budgetary control system, internal control, monitoring the cash flow of RDRS Bangladesh, overseeing and support disbursement of fund to cost centers and projects, managing financial MIS and reporting, managing audit services and contracts, preparing annual statements & balance sheet.
∎ The Director (Finance) will maintain constructive working relations with all Directors, Heads as well as other sectors program staff. S/he will lead to manage, develop the performance of Finance & Accounts staff and build up the team relationship.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Director (Finance) is responsible for overall management and administration of Finance & Accounts of RDRS Bangladesh. S/he will also ensure effective administration, implementation, monitoring, follow-up and supervision of all staff and activities of RDRS Finance & Accounts. Major responsibilities include:
∎ Provide strategic leadership for finance and accounts of the RDRS
∎ Establish and maintain sound and transparent accounting and fiscal control procedures for financial, sub-award, small grants and operations aspects of the RDRS;
∎ Ensure compliance of financial and operations systems as per RDRS Finance policies and procedures, donor rules and regulations, award requirements, and government laws;
∎ Develop, analyze and monitor program/project budgets; monitor and track obligations and expenditures against budgets;
∎ Prepare and submit annual and quarterly financial and accrual reports;
∎ Liaise with internal and external auditors during program/project financial management reviews;
∎ Provide technical assistance to local partners on financial compliance and reporting;
∎ Contribute to the development of the high-quality budget, work plans, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports; and other reports as required by Board of Trustees / donors/MRA/NGOAB and Governments.
∎ Timely preparation of financial statements, which accurately reflects the operation of all activities.
∎ Ensure effective internal control & check system which safeguard the organization's assets.
∎ Ensure that RDRS adheres to prudent financial rules and regulations including BAS, IAS and IFRS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Experience and knowledge of working with NGO/MFI will be preferred;
∎ Advanced MS Excel;
∎ Problem solving and initiative;
∎ Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at various levels;
∎ Strategic thinker, willing to be decisive;
∎ Team player;
∎ Excellent analytical skills;
∎ Strong Leadership quality;
∎ Ability to work under stressful situations and meet deadlines;
∎ Willing to travel extensively within the RDRS operational area and beyond;
∎ Gender Sensitivity: Should be gender-sensitive, must have good understanding about feminism and masculinity.
∎ Awareness of Child Protection and Rights: Aware about child protection and their rights.
∎ Safeguarding Awareness: Have an understanding of safeguarding issues and abide by the safeguarding policy

∎ 2 (Yearly), Each festival bonus is equivalent to a one-month basic salary as per RDRS rules.
