Responsibilities & Context:
ASA Bangladesh is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation, developer productivity, and deployment reliability.
In this role, you’ll design and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate build and release workflows, and ensure smooth deployment of applications across on-premises environments. You’ll work together with developers to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle — from code commit to production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
Automate repetitive developer tasks — build packaging, environment setup, and dependency management.
Maintain and enhance self-hosted build infrastructure, including GitLab Runners, Jenkins agents, and artifact repositories.
Manage on-premises deployment environments (Linux servers, Dockerized applications, and local Kubernetes clusters).
Collaborate with developers to standardize build scripts, environment configurations, and release processes.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for reproducible environment provisioning.
Develop and maintain automated release pipelines supporting blue-green and rolling deployments.
Integrate static analysis, security scanning, and test automation tools within CI/CD workflows.
Good knowledge about API gateway, Load balancer.
Configure and maintain WAFs (ModSecurity, NAXSI), reverse proxies, and SSL/TLS setups for application security.
Implement monitoring and alerting for application health using Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry.
Support developers during build or deployment failures, analyze root causes, and continuously improve reliability.
Document automation of workflows, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Any other lawful responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/office.
