Key Responsibilities (Denim & Woven Product Development and Design)

• Stay current with global fashion movements, emerging fabric technologies, washes, fits, silhouettes, and color trends within Denim and Woven categories.
• Create and visualize design concepts through mood boards, sketches, 3D visuals, and detailed technical drawings ensuring strong aesthetic and commercial appeal.
• Select fabrics, trims, washes, embroidery, prints, and finishing techniques to develop competitive and market-driven product lines.
• Work closely with foreign buyers to understand design direction, consumer preferences, seasonal themes, and pricing expectations for sample development.
• Develop new design concepts, seasonal themes, and line presentations reflecting brand positioning and market trends.
• Prepare detailed technical specification sheets with construction details, measurements, wash instructions, and trim placements for factory development and production teams.
• Coordinate with factories, suppliers, and washing plants on sample execution, fabric sourcing, wash trials, materials innovation, garment development, and fit approvals.
• Monitor the full sampling process from initial concept to final approval, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
• Support development of new denim wash techniques, laser patterns, distressing concepts, garment dyeing finishes, and sustainable wash innovations.
• Conduct contemporary market analysis to track competitor collections, pricing structures, wash trends, and product styling directions.
• Collaborate with garment technicians and pattern masters to ensure consistency in fit, construction quality, and wearability of finished garments.
• Work with product testing teams to evaluate durability, performance, and functional attributes of new fabrics and trims.
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in the design and development workflow and propose solutions for efficiency and innovation.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members to strengthen team capability and workflow execution.
• Coordinate with sourcing teams to identify new mills, wash partners, and accessory suppliers aligned with both cost efficiency and design quality goals.
• Manage seasonal development calendars and ensure all tasks align with critical path timelines and buyer deadlines.
