∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Experience in clothing and jute craft product design.
∎ Previous experience in product design and production will get priority.
∎ Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
∎ Fluency in local language will get priority.
∎ Females are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Bhasan Char camp opened a new chapter in the world for the support to refugees in Bangladesh. Bhasan Char is a new island of Bangladesh situated in the deep sea with distance of 28 nautical miles West from Patenga of Chattogram and 21 nautical miles South from Noakhali district. The area of the island is 26 Sq. Km. and within the embankment, the land area is about 7 Sq. Km. For the relocation of refugees from the Cox’s Bazar, the Govt. of Bangladesh established the Bhasan Char Camp in 2020. For up-scaling the livelihood and self-reliance opportunities for the refugees in Bhasan Char, with the support of UNHCR, NGO Forum is implementing skills and livelihoods services for the refugees living in Bhasan Char.
∎ The main objective of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of ‘Designer’ for the "Self-Reliance and Livelihoods Project" in Bashan char in order to ensure that the Self Reliance intervention is implemented as effectively as possible while maintaining the highest level of standards and quality.
∎ Key Duties & Responsibilities:
∎ To develop new product based on market insights and customer preference.
∎ To create design specifications, sketches, and prototypes for new products.
∎ To work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to maintain product standards.
∎ To support the production team in optimizing product designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
∎ To facilitate training to technical volunteers on new product.
∎ To maintain display board with new different product.
∎ To contribute ideas for the development and design of new trainings.
∎ To collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility and innovation in product development.
∎ To maintain records of design iterations, testing results, and development progress.
∎ To prepare reports and presentations for internal teams and stakeholders.
∎ Any other task assigned by the project management unit

Employment Status: Contractual
