Educational Requirements:
∎ BSS and MSS from any recognized Institution/university. Having an education-related degree would be an asset.

Job Context:
∎ Employment Status: Regular (yearly renewable subject to the performance and fund availability)
∎ Dimensions: Dhaka based with at least 40% field visits within Dhaka city (but willingness required to join need-based training and workshop outside of Dhaka)
∎ Staff directly reporting to this post: 2 positions
∎ Reports to: Program Manager
∎ This position is responsible to assist in planning, designing and monitoring, reporting, and implementing the interventions of Early Childhood Care & Development (ECCD), Basic Education and ICT, and Child Protection in education settings as well as supporting Program Manager for smooth implementation of integrated programming. S/he is to prepare draft implementation guidelines for the programs and finalize in consultation with the relevant Technical Managers to provide continuous support to the field for smooth implementation. Deputy Manager-Education will maintain linkage and collaboration with Gov. & Non-Gov education institutions and education stakeholders. S/he will coordinate the school support related all activities of Urban Impact area.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Area 1: Program Development, planning, and reporting:
∎ Assist in identifying ECCD & Education related challenges and asses of needs and learning gaps of children in the Impact Area in accordance with the overall goal of the ECCD & Education Sector.
∎ Explore opportunities for further program development and integration, and collaboration with other organizations for sustainability.
∎ Provide input in preparing a detailed implementation plan and assist in preparing program operational plan with the guidance of Technical Managers.
∎ Ensure integration of Child Protection interventions within program deliveries for children, parents and other stakeholders.
∎ All types of the need-based report including report submission to DPE and other education-related stakeholders
∎ Key Area 2: Develop Capacity Building plan and ensure the implementation:
∎ Facilitate interactive training on ECCD, Education and Child Protection
∎ Conduct training needs assessment and design and arrange different trainings for the program
∎ Support in preparing Yearly Training Plan both for the team and for the program participants, and also in preparing training and materials procurement calendar
∎ Develop training manuals, guidelines and curriculum, and other relevant materials for each of the training courses and assist in developing/selecting/using those.
∎ Follow up and support the training/workshops by the field staff to ensure quality at different cascades
∎ Key Area 3: Ensure program quality:
∎ Supervise program interventions in the field to ensure technical support as well as support the team to ensure timely management information flow at every level and maintain program quality
∎ Analyse program budget periodically and maintain track of expenditure vs. budget
∎ Document/support in documenting program process and results
∎ Take care of SJeMIS
∎ Complete field visit and accomplish as assigned
∎ Periodic analysis of field visit, SJ e-MIS information cross-check to ensure quality program
∎ Key Area 4: Advocacy and networking

∎ Keep liaison with relevant government (DPE, BNFE, TEO, TRC, GPS, MFSTC etc.) and non-government offices, and CBOs program-related organizations for effective program implementation and enhancing the quality
∎ Keep communication with local administration, City Corporation, and its Zonal Offices as appropriate
∎ Disseminate new information, lessons learned, government's new policies and programs, etc to the appropriate forums when needed
∎ Key Area 5: General:
∎ Attend training, meetings, and workshops as required
∎ Be willing to work in any emergency or disaster situation anywhere in Bangladesh.
∎ Regular communication with Technical Manager-ECCD, BE, and Child Protection
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor
∎ Timely all assign reporting and deliverable submission to next-level management of the own organization as well as technical service provider
∎ Promotes a productive work environment with zero tolerance for child safeguarding issues and PSEA issues along with the organizational Code of Conduct
∎ General:
∎ Prepare, draft, and compile different reports for sharing with SJ Technical Managers and Management
∎ Track the budget and expenditure as per the plan with financial compliance
∎ Keep continuous liaison with like-minded organizations, local leaders, local administration, schools, Madrasahs, and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate
∎ JD may revise based on the requirement and assignment
∎ Maintain close communication with ICDP Management and technical and financial support provider
∎ Ready to work to respond to any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of working experience in the education sector
∎ Experienced in staff supervision;
∎ Prior experience in planning and facilitating training;
∎ Good interpersonal skills and a team player;
∎ Strong organizational and planning skills including the ability to monitor progress of program activities;
∎ Experience in working with children will be an advantage;
∎ Skills in Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint;
∎ Good communication and reporting skills in both English and Bengali;
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively;
∎ Ambition, collaboration, creativity, and Integrity in the job will be appreciable.
∎ Compassionate and respectful towards different disadvantaged groups, minorities, races, ethnic communities, and gender.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
∎ (Consolidated monthly salary)
