Job Context:
∎ A leading national-level NGO engaged in socio-economic development since 1974, invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Program Manager for a sponsorship-funded child-focused program, implemented in the slum area, supported by an international NGO.
∎ This position will play key role in planning and implementation of Integrated Child Development Program (ICDP) in coordination with Shishuder Jonno Program of Save the Children. You will oversee the whole project activities and project staff. You will ensure highest impact of all initiatives through integration of SC as well as other relevant stakeholders, improving knowledge & skills of project staff, arrange dissemination of project achievements to concerned stakeholders at different levels and advocate at local level GoB and with other stakeholders as appropriate .You will work in close collaboration with MSS and assigned focal point of Shishuder Jonno Program of Save the Children.
∎ Employment Status: Regular (yearly renewable subject to the performance and fund availability)
∎ Dimensions: Dhaka based with at least 40% field visits within Dhaka city (but willingness required to join need-based training and workshop outside of Dhaka)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Area 1: Planning
∎ Jointly develop project operational guideline/plan for effective implementation of set activities
∎ Lead implementation of service mapping exercise throughout the project areas prior to planning and work plan preparation
∎ Provide inputs to prepare /review result framework, annual plans on SJ programs focusing urban issues around education, health and nutrition, child protection and participation, adolescent development, sponsorship operations and community mobilization
∎ Prepare/review annual/quarterly work plan in line with project memorandum and result framework, staff wise activity plan, setting targets including measurable indicators for progress reporting
∎ Coordinate preparing Detail Implementation Plan (DIP), Sponsorship Annual Plan (SAP), Annual/Quarterly/ Monthly Action Plan including financial budget etc.
∎ Key Area 2: Program implementation and quality improvement
∎ Develop and implement capacity building plan for project and field staff on the project implementation guidelines, tools, approaches used, input delivery system and quality monitoring to implement the programs smoothly
∎ Take lead in development/adoption of quality monitoring tools
∎ Provide in-service and on-site training and demonstration to project and field staff
∎ Establish an effective system of sharing field findings and organize refresher trainings/mentoring/coaching accordingly
∎ Conduct regular/routine assessments by using quantitative and qualitative research methodology and participate in the routine SC reflection/sharing sessions
∎ Conduct case studies, assessment/studies, document lessons for sharing with project beneficiaries (children, families, NGOs and other stakeholders)
∎ Organize planned consultation meetings and workshops with community leaders, various stakeholders (internal and external), document expectations and learning from others and share for improvement of the project interventions
∎ Key Area 3: Coordination and cooperation
∎ Participate in the relevant meetings (urban poverty and related issues) organized by development agencies and private and public sector (government departments), DPE, DGHS, City Corporation etc.
∎ Establish working relationship and effective coordination mechanism with local government and administration with other NGOs working in the same field
∎ Organize and participate in the coordination meeting of SC, other like- minded organizations who are implementing different activities in project area
∎ Involve relevant stakeholders in different stages of project implementation
∎ Conduct quarterly/half-yearly/yearly technical review meetings involving SC and MSS staff and agreed on actions for better performances
∎ Key Area 4: Lesson learning, assessment/research, and advocacy -
∎ Develop MEAL plan in line with result framework and reporting tools and guidelines
∎ Ensure project data entry, data base creation and maintain, data cleaning, analysis, interpretation, drafting of report
∎ Plan and implement SC's monitoring and evaluation system and reporting
∎ Conduct planned assessments and studies, drafting policy brief and issues for policy influencing
∎ Develop local level policy advocacy plan and advocacy implementation guidelines
∎ Organize visits/lesson learning or reflection workshops and meeting for wider inputs and policy influencing
∎ Key Area 5: Budget management and progress reporting
∎ Prepare and review of project budget, variance analysis and support to validation of budget spending against the activities on a monthly/quarterly basis
∎ Conduct spot verifications and ensure inputs and deliverables as planned
∎ Ensure timely reporting (financial and programmatic) and computerized updating on monthly progress
∎ Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to MSS and SC as per the dates
∎ Document lessons learned and best practices, disseminate progress and achievements to concerned stakeholders
∎ Compile/Review/Develop reports for Save the Children as necessary
∎ Key Area 6: Staff Supervision and Management
∎ Ensure appropriate staffing for the project as per the project design
∎ Guide and facilitate staff capacity development, and accomplish performance appraisal of supervisee.
∎ Ensure feedback and necessary guidance and supports to supervisee based on progress made
∎ Review budget of ICDP-SJ periodically to ensure timely and adequate fund allocation and utilization.
∎ Key Area 7: General

∎ General:
∎ Prepare, draft, and compile different reports for sharing with own organization as well as technical service provider
∎ Track the budget and expenditure as per the plan with financial compliance
∎ Keep continuous liaison with like-minded organizations, local leaders, local administration, schools, Madrasahs, and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate
∎ JD may revise based on the requirement and assignment
∎ Maintain close communication with ICDP Management and technical and financial support provider
∎ Ready to work to respond to any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 years of working experience in the Health & Education sector
∎ Experienced in staff supervision;
∎ Prior experience in planning and facilitating training;
∎ Good interpersonal skills and a team player;
∎ Strong organizational and planning skills including the ability to monitor progress of program activities;
∎ Experience in working with children will be an advantage;
∎ Skills in Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint;
∎ Good communication and reporting skills in both English and Bengali;
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively;
∎ Ambition, collaboration, creativity, and Integrity in the job will be appreciable.
∎ Compassionate and respectful towards different disadvantaged groups, minorities, races, ethnic communities, and gender.
∎ Compliance: Should abide by the Child Safeguarding Policy, Gender Policy with high importance as well as organizational guidelines and policies, code of conduct

Salary: Tk. 80000 - 85000 (Monthly)
