Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide overall technical assistance to Project’s construction/repair/maintenance works, from their planning to their implementation and monitoring.·
∎ Responsible to ensure that effective implementation, monitoring, and supervision tools are developed and implemented.·
∎ Responsible to ensure effective quality control systems are in place to ensure compliance with technical specifications and CODEC quality standards.·
∎ Ensure all technical inputs and cost estimates related to the construction components are accurate, timely provided and included in the project proposals and budgets.·
∎ Support the procurement committee in all tender exercises for the procurement of construction-related services and supplies.·
∎ Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources.·
∎ Identify and manage risks and initiate corrective action where necessary, so that maximum benefit to CODEC is achieved.·
∎ Provide weekly construction progress monitoring report to the supervisor which is acknowledged and verified by CODEC Management.·
∎ Prepare interim - final project and handover reports and maintain the relevant project records.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education for Rohingya Refugee and Host Community Children in Bangladesh’’ Project funded by UNESCO.
∎ The working location will be at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar.
