∎ MSc (Anthropology) from reputed University. MPH from a reputed institution is preferable

Job Context:
∎ Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is one of the leading organizations dedicated to public health research in Bangladesh. The centre is now looking for qualified persons to fulfill the following vacant posts immediately to work in disaster and drowning prevention programme.
∎ Job location: Dhaka based with extensive field visit anywhere in Bangladesh/Barisal division. Initial development phase (3-4 months) need to stay at project area.
∎ Duration: From 1 March 2021 to 30 June 2022, subject to be extended based on individual performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Deputy Program Manager will provide support to the Team Leader/ Program Manager & Associate Scientist in the following field of work
∎ Develop research proposal
∎ Organize research activities at field level
∎ Manage the research team
∎ Supervision and monitoring of research activities.
∎ Consolidate research data and assure data quality
∎ Analyze data, with support of other team members.
∎ Prepare qualitative research reports and scientific papers
∎ Provide progress report regularly on field activities
∎ Keep liaison with related Government departments (e.g. health, disaster, education, and information), NGOs and development partners at district and upazila level for conducting the research.
∎ Conduct training, workshop and meeting at the local, regional and national level
∎ The Deputy Program Managers (Program) will provide support to the Team Leader to manage the project.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years experiences in public health research and programme with a good exposure to work at the community level. Candidates having knowledge and experience to work in Disaster/injury prevention will be an advantage.
∎ Sound knowledge on research activities
∎ Excellent knowledge in project management and field works.
∎ Strong network and interpersonal skill,
∎ Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver results.
∎ Excellent skill in verbal and written communications in English
∎ Skill in report writing and knowledge in developing field level strategies/plan
∎ Knowledge in program implementation, management and M&E.
∎ Managerial proficiency with facilitation, motivation and leadership capacity to coordinate field staff for superlative data and update reporting of the program.
∎ Knowledge of computer Applications
∎ Proficiency in qualitative data analysis and technical expertise on qualitative software use is preferable

Salary:
∎ 57,770 to 63,547 with other benefits as per organization policy
