Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors or Masters in English/ Journalism and Mass Communication/ Media and Communication/ International Relations/ Development Studies or any other relevant field from any recognised university/ institution with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations. Candidates having O-level and A-level will get preference

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute to documentation of BRAC Communicable Diseases & WASH Programme for both internal correspondence as well as external communication (e.g. donor reports and presentations)
∎ Support to produce documents and materials for internal and external stakeholders under the Director's portfolio, on an ad hoc basis
∎ Manage resources (budget and work) to produce communication materials (short project videos, project briefs, periodic updates)
∎ Create newsletters, project two-pagers, capability statements and regularly update the data for ad hoc dissemination
∎ Participate and coordinate with cross-functional units of the organisation (communication, advocacy and Knowledge Management ), and act as the focal point for programme information
∎ Draft articles or blogs on activities of WASH and communicable diseases
∎ Update the website of WASH and Communicable Disease Programme as required
∎ Provide support to team members to create documents for higher management
∎ Prepare different types of annual report, publication, MOU, agreement, presentation, speech and giving input in writing proposal and documentation of programme activities
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years of work experience is required. Candidates having experience in the development sector will get preference
∎ Commitment to an understanding of BRAC core values and principles
∎ Expert knowledge of traditional and new media to manage the communication portfolio and delivery of messages to both internal and external audiences
∎ Knowledge of communication, media engagement and creative writing
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla, (both oral and written) is required
∎ Learning and sharing knowledge and encourage the learning of others
∎ Ability to think strategically and carry out assigned tasks independently
∎ Strong interpersonal and communications skills
