Job Context:
∎ Save the Children invites applications for the above-mentioned position under of HIV/AIDS Program. As part of the national HIV and AIDS response in Bangladesh, Save the Children has been taking a leading role and managed five HIV grants of the Global Fund since 2004. The current grant is supporting 9,500 People who inject drugs (PWID), 18,500 Female sex workers (FSW) and community based support for People Living with HIV and AIDS in 16 districts.

∎ Contract length: Contractual (up to 30th November 2020).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will be mainly responsible for overseeing the Hepatitis C coinfection management of HIV positive PWID under the Unfunded Quality Demand (UQD) funding of the Global Fund.
∎ Hep. C co-infection management will be implemented at the C-DICs by both CARE,B consortium and Direct Implementation of Save the Children, under the guidance of Senior Manager -PWID & TCS.
∎ S/he will be primarily responsible for timely implementation and coordination of the Hep C co-infection project activities as per the work plan.
∎ As multiple stakeholders and organizations will be involved in the project for technical and implementation purpose, regular communication and coordination with the stakeholders will be a key responsibility of the position.
∎ S/he will also supervise the necessary clinical services to HIV positive PWID who are also infected with Hepatitis C and provide necessary technical assistance to the relevant technical staff for ensuring quality services to the target population.
∎ As part of capacity building initiatives, s/he will organize and facilitate necessary formal and informal clinical sessions at a regular interval.
∎ S/he will also be responsible for ensuring preparation of monitoring report, along with monthly, quarterly and periodic progress reports.
∎ S/he will maintain regular coordination, collaboration and communication with Health facilities of GoB/NGOs, DNC and other related organizations/stakeholders/local influential people for smooth implementation of project activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of working experience including 1 years in planning, implementation of public health programs
∎ Candidates having experience of working in HIV/AIDS and high-risk population (especially PWID ) will get preference.
∎ Excellent coordination skills to establish efficient working relations and develop partnership with ASP/Government Agencies, NGOs/SRs, GoB Health facilities, Communicable Diseases Control (CDC) and relevant stakeholders
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Bangla.
