Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry/ Textile Engineer (Wet Processing) in any reputed university. Preferably BUET, Dhaka University and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) (Wet Processing) student.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Process Management: Develop and implement effective washing processes and techniques for different types of fabrics and garments, ensuring optimal quality, colorfastness, and durability and should have strong knowledge on Sustainability practices in process optimization
∎ Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of washing technicians and workers, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and providing guidance to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output.
∎ Quality Control: Inspect garments throughout the washing process to ensure that they meet established quality standards, including proper fit, color consistency, and overall appearance.
∎ Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals, dyes, and other materials required for washing processes, ensuring an adequate supply for uninterrupted production.
∎ Cost Control: Work closely with management to optimize washing processes for cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Monitor and manage expenses related to chemicals, water, energy, and labor.
∎ Environmental Compliance: Ensure that washing processes adhere to environmental regulations and guidelines, including proper disposal of chemicals and wastewater.
∎ Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as production, design, and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of orders.
∎ Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and automation to enhance efficiency and product quality.
∎ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of washing processes, including recipes, procedures, quality checks, and any necessary reports for compliance and future reference.
∎ Training and Development: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to garment washing. Train and develop the team to ensure their skills and knowledge are up to date.
∎ Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the washing process, such as color bleeding, shrinkage, or other quality concerns.
∎ Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all team members by promoting and enforcing proper safety procedures and practices.
∎ Customer Communication: Collaborate with customers and provide guidance on washing processes, techniques, and options based on their specific garment requirements.
∎ Reporting: Generate regular reports for management, summarizing production, quality, and efficiency metrics related to garment washing operations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Should have a strong understanding of garment washing techniques, fabric properties, and chemical processes.
∎ Should also possess leadership skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to manage teams and ensure efficient and high-quality garment washing operations.
∎ Should have strong knowledge on Sustainability Practices in Wash Process Optimization.
