Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Deputy Director - Sub Awards Management in his/her capacity to lead the sub-awards unit which has seven staff member and over hundred sub-awards.
∎ S/he will provide support to the Director of Strategic Portfolio & Awards Management in the areas of sub award management which includes vetting, contracting, monitoring visit, operational capacity building for ensuring adequate compliance with donor regulations in line with SCI Policies and Procedures.
∎ Major responsibilities include, s/he will ensure the pre-award assessments are completed, ensure partners are following donor regulations in their program operations and expenditures, estimates the funding requirement, lead in developing the partners' operational capacity building plan, manage a team and plan for development of all team members with the limited resources.
∎ This position requires representation as well as stakeholder management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years' experience, of which 3 years at a management level, within the sub awards unit of a national or international NGO including some experience in emergencies context.
∎ Sufficient knowledge on partner management and performance monitoring. Clear understanding on NGO financial systems and operating environment.
∎ Excellent analytical skills - the ability to analyze complex financial data and produce effective management information.
∎ Experience on budgeting and budget management.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work within a tight deadline.
∎ Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and using of email.
