Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc (Child development/ Psychology)/ BSS (Social Science)/ BA (Music/ Drama/ Education) or any other related discipline from any reputed universities.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is one of the leading organizations dedicated to public health research in Bangladesh. The centre is now looking for a qualified person to fulfil the following vacant position immediately to work in child drowning prevention programme in Barishal Division. The Data Collector for child assessment will be responsible for collecting data from the children and their caregivers of at least 50 community Anchal day-care centres. (Anchal is a community daycare centers for children under 5.)
∎ Job Nature: Short term.
∎ Duration: Appointment will be for two months.
∎ Job location: Based in 3 Upazilas (Kalapara, Talotoli, Betagi) of Patuakhil District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct planned data collection interview daily
∎ Prepare and submit data collection report to assign supervisor daily, weekly, and monthly
∎ Regular communication with the supervisor to consult about the data collection issues.
∎ Need to maintain data collection logistic regularly.
∎ Prepare the data collection plan
∎ Participate in the data collection training
∎ Assist other research team members for data collection whenever required.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 1 year of experience of data collection with children in school/ day-care center/ or Ngo. Exposure to work at the community level is desirable.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Bangla
∎ Sound skill in report writing and basic computer application (MS Office)
∎ Familiarity with community research-based principles.
∎ Familiarity with child assessment based data collection
∎ Sound knowledge relating to early childhood development.

Salary:
∎ Consolidated monthly salary is Tk. 26,942 (including taxes and travels).
