Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advise the Head of Security (UK) and the Country Director on the ongoing security landscape of Bangladesh,
∎ Advising on live/developing threats and the future direction security aspects of the programme
∎ Design, maintain and update project specific safety and security policies
∎ Write and implement an Emergency Response Plan for Bangladesh field offices
∎ Assist in the management and implementation of safety and security policies
∎ Provide personal safety training to frontline staff
∎ Carry out periodic security briefings, updating local staff on any developments in the threat landscape
∎ Ensure protection to staff travelling to remote and ‘at risk’ areas through networks
∎ Hold emergency briefing to advise staff and management during times of an emerging threat or major incident
∎ Carry out accommodation and travel risk assessments for visiting staff and Sponsors
∎ Carry out operational risk assessments for visiting staff and guests
∎ Accompany and provide an emergency response contingency for organized trips from visiting staff and guests
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 10 years experience in Police or Armed Forces
∎ Previous experience providing close protection to high profile individuals, government officials or ‘at risk’ personnel
∎ Good communication skill in English (Speaking and Writing)
∎ Good computer skills (Gmail, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.)
∎ Excellent political and social knowledge of the country
∎ Good existing network of security and law enforcement professionals
∎ Demonstrate a strategic approach to security risk management
∎ Operational knowledge of security risk management in the private industry and/or NGO sector
∎ Demonstrate an ability to write detailed incident reports, risk assessments and emergency response plans
∎ Demonstrates the ability to work in support of a wider team
∎ Safe and experienced driver, with experience of multiple vehicle types, all weather driving and basic vehicle maintenance
∎ Professional in demeanor, appearance and communication
∎ Positive and proactive attitude to work
∎ Exceptionally high level of honesty and integrity
∎ Intelligent, organised and creative problem solver
Salary: Tk. 200000 - 250000 (Monthly)
