Job Responsibilities:
∎ As the Country Representative of ICCO's Bangladesh Country Office, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the country strategy that continues to deliver high levels of program impact in development sectors, against a background of chronic and deep poverty, frequent and ongoing vulnerability to natural disasters and a complex political environment. It is a multi-faceted role, focused on securing adequate funding to sustain operations, upscale and strategically strengthen the country program, while ensuring compliance and high-quality delivery.
∎ The Country Representative needs to be well informed about national and international development priorities and steer the sectors in response to these priorities. The Country Representative must have well developed analytical and financial skills and understand how value chains and supply chains operate. S/he must have a good understanding of rural marketing and reaching to the 'base of the pyramid.'
∎ You are expected to work in collaboration to identify and negotiate new funding sources, as well as representing ICCO to a diverse range of stakeholders including the Government, donor agencies and other NGOs. He/she will also be the face of ICCO in the country and ensure its positive image and visibility. The Country Representative will lead, coach and support a team of professionals to perform at their best to meet and exceed client, donor and ICCO's corporate expectations. In addition, she/he will be a key member of ICCO's regional senior management team, making meaningful contributions to help shape the future of ICCO globally, regionally, and in the country.
