Job Summary: Responsible for providing continuous support and guidance to fistula patients and their families, helping them understand and agree to the treatment and rehabilitation process and follow-up CFAs activities. She will provide counseling & mental support to the patients both before & after the surgery. The role involves maintaining communication with patients, referring identified cases, conducting follow-up visits, and encouraging reluctant patients in rural areas of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Ensure the treatment through close communication with the patient and individual follow-up visits.
General
Regular communication with identified fistula patients and motivation for treatment
Medical team assisting in fistula diagnostic camp at upazila level
Ensure patient treatment by providing counselling and motivation
Play an integral role in the smooth operation of patient services, ensuring proper supplies, record keeping and reporting
Regular communication follow-up visits to identified patients by community staff/members and liaison with the hospital for their operation and follow-up after operation
Counselling motivates & follow-up visit to individual patient households especially reluctant to come for treatment
Ensure the fistula patients travel and CFA incentive according to project rules
Managing phone number for any gynae patient needing advice
Helping fistula patients in OPD for receiving proper service·
Keeping fistula patient records properly
Assisting patient rehabilitation support assessment
Attend the sub-district/district level training meeting/workshop/ Camp
Regularly follow-up monitoring CFA activities & data collection
Case study collection from Every patient & CFA
Networking and advocacy:
Ensure good communication between LAMB and government field level staff
Counseling and motivate reluctant fistula patient for their operation
Building collaboration working relationship with government health care provider/ TBA/SK/ NGO respective for patient counselling & motivate for treatment·
Counselling patients about operations, rehab possibilities as instructed by gynaecologist
Liaise with other members of the LAMB team e.g. chaplaincy, medical, nursing staff
Ensure in collaboration with all staffs of project that effective communication occurs between departments and that the components have the necessary resources to fulfil the objectives of the various programs
Data management and documentation:
Keep accurate records of all patients enrolled in the programmes
Keeping fistula patient surgery call list and surgery record
Keeping reluctant fistula patients list and update information
Fistula operation information sent to MIS-R-research department
Maintain a data bank to store case studies, impact stories and other educational materials used in the project.
Reporting:
Prepare monthly fistula patient follow-up progress report
Prepare monthly CFA follow-up monitoring reportPrepare monthly /quarterly fistula patient & CFA follow-up progress report for organization and donor
Around Tk. 27,702 per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
