∎ Master of Science (MSc)

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Agriculture, agro based farm, Agronomist
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for selecting the suitable location for the contract farming;
∎ Selecting the suitable farmers, preparing the contract, create and guide farmers for farming potato;
∎ Arranging training for farmers, support to implement GAP (Good Agricultural Practices);
∎ Preparing the necessary materials and inputs;
∎ Budget preparation, work to reduce risk and recovery;
∎ Monitoring the cultivation progress and preparing necessary reports to the management;
∎ Procurement of the crops, post-harvest arrangements, storage arrangements, etc.
∎ Team recruitment, development & posting; Conduct cost-benefit analysis of potato farming (Contract farming business plan); Maintain relations with various stakeholders in the supply chain;
∎ Conduct regular audits based on contract farming guideline.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ At least 10 years of professional experience working in the private sector with focusing on contract farming and value-chain enhancement.
∎ Required Skills and Experience
∎ You will have a degree in a relevant field (Agriculture) and experience in managing complex large-scale contract farming program.
∎ Experience in implementing agri-business programmes in Bangladesh;
∎ Strong team leadership, problem solving skills and management experience.
∎ Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation, networking and facilitation skills.
∎ Extensive experience delivering against defined targets.
∎ A good understanding of the Bangladesh context particularly agricultural context in Char Area.

Salary: Negotiable
