B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Process Engineering (Preferred)
Additional qualifications in Project Management or Industrial Engineering will be an advantage.
• Proven experience with Sulfuric Acid, Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC), Sodium Sulphate, or other inorganic chemical plants.
• Hands-on involvement in at least one greenfield project from design through commissioning.
• Strong background in process engineering, plant commissioning, HSE, and operational excellence.
1. Project Planning & Feasibility
• Advise management on project feasibility and business viability.
• Conduct technical due diligence and risk assessments.
• Review project scope, plant capacity, and process configuration.
2. Process Design & Technology Selection
• Review and validate Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances, and equipment specifications.
• Recommend suitable process technologies for:
o Sodium Sulphate Production
o Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) Production
o Sulfuric Acid Manufacturing
3. Engineering Review
• Verify equipment sizing and technical specifications.
• Recommend improvements in plant reliability and maintainability.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), where applicable.
4. Procurement & Vendor Evaluation
• Support technical evaluation of equipment suppliers.
• Review vendor quotations and technical compliance.
• Recommend suitable machinery and utility systems.
5. Construction & Installation Supervision
• Provide technical oversight during plant construction.
• Monitor installation quality and adherence to engineering standards.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
6. Plant Commissioning & Start-Up
• Develop commissioning and start-up plans.
• Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Validate process performance and equipment functionality.
7. Process Optimization
• Improve production yield and product quality.
• Optimize raw material consumption.
• Reduce energy and utility usage.
8. Quality Assurance & Process Control
• Establish quality standards for Sodium Sulphate, PAC, and Sulfuric Acid products.
• Review laboratory testing methods and quality control procedures.
• Support implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
9. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Review Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
• Recommend safe operating procedures and HSE best practices.
10. Environmental Compliance
• Review the design and operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
• Advise on emissions control, waste management, and environmental monitoring.
11. Operations Support
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in preparing maintenance strategies and preventive maintenance programs.
12. Training & Knowledge Transfer
• Conduct technical training for production, maintenance, laboratory, and safety personnel.
• Develop operational manuals and technical documentation.
13. Management Reporting
