Job Context:
∎ Duty Station: Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh (With frequent travel to field offices/Camps as required)
∎ Report To: Senior Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: Up to 31st December, 2022 (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)
∎ Contract duration : 31st December, 2022
∎ The Construction & Maintenance Officer is responsible for perform the required facilities including ITC rehabilitation assessment, considering technical knowledge select new place for facility, prepare drawing & Bill of Quantity, close monitoring of the ongoing rehabilitation and prepare work Completion Certificate after completion work as per BoQ. Also responsible for maintenance all RI assets or equipment’s as per RI policy & procedure in close collaboration with Supply chain & Operations team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ In close collaboration with RI program team, identify the needs in terms of construction of new facilities and operational and maintenance of existing facilities.
∎ Work with program team and local authorities to identify suitable sites for construction of RI facilities infrastructure.
∎ Frequently visit to all the existing facilities to undertake technical assessment of existing facilities (infrastructure) and provide necessary recommendations to ensure that facilities' infrastructure are well maintained.
∎ Prepare engineering design and estimates, BoQs for infrastructure of various facilities following GoB guideline free of mistakes.
∎ Assist supply chain to prepare tender documents, support to identify competitive and qualified supplier as per RI policy & procedure.
∎ Participate in procurement of construction services (if out sourced) and release of payment (certification of work completion) as asked by the supervisor.
∎ Supervise contractors / suppliers involved in construction of RI facilities infrastructure on day to basis to ensure that the construction is done as per agreed design and BoQ, quality standards and in timely manner.
∎ Undertake regular maintenance of facilities' infrastructure deploying need based daily labor.
∎ Contribute in new proposal development by providing specialized technical support related to construction of and O&M of existing facilities.
∎ Provide support to operations team in terms of RI premises (office, guest house, warehouse etc.)
∎ Ensure timely maintenance of all RI assets (Generator and Air Condition etc.)
∎ Support operations team on market assessments of the construction, maintenance or repair works and spare parts, as required.
∎ Responsible to report weekly and monthly on the maintenance works.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by Management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 Years work experience in maintenance field or related field including Rohinga camps.
∎ Strong working knowledge about drawing software (AutoCAD).
∎ Very good skill of Estimating & costing of construction materials.
∎ Very good knowledge about MS Office software.
∎ Good knowledge about electricity and power generator.
∎ Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
∎ Good understanding of English and Chittagong local language.

∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
