Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work under the direct guidance of the Program Officer - Agriculture Value Chain (Upazila level) and other district-level project personnel to ensure effective implementation of project activities.
∎ Mobilize and engage community members in assigned unions for project execution.
∎ Collaborate with union-level GoB staff, NGOs, and other stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.
∎ Facilitate and organize community-level sessions, awareness meetings, and events as per project plan.
∎ Support the formation and regular operation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and any other group formation or selection.
∎ Assist in organizing training on topics like Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), financial literacy, gender justice, and native chicken rearing.
∎ Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly progress reports based on collected field data as per project plan.
∎ Conduct regular field visits for monitoring and mobilizing community participants.
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by KMSS Management related to community mobilization and project objectives.
∎ Job Location: Khulna District (Any of the Fultala, Terothada or Digholia Upazila)
∎ Job Context:
∎ Khulna Mukti Seba Sangstha (KMSS) being a sub grantee has been implementing “USAID Bangladesh America Maitree Activity (BAMA)” (Strengthening Climate-smart Vegetable and Native Chicken Value Chain in Bangladesh (C4VNCVC) funded by USAID and managed by BRAC. The project duration is from November 2024 to November 2026. The project is been implemented in three upazilas of Khulna District (Tero-khada, Phultal and Dighalia Upazilas and each Upazila will be covered 03 Unions and total Union will be 09. (Ajugara,Terokhada, Sagladah Unions of Terokhada Union. Jamira, Damodar, Phultala Unions of Phultala Upazila. Dighalia, Barakpur, Senhati Union of Dighalia Upazila.). The incumbent will work for the project as a Community Organizer for Union Level Mobilization activities of any of the aforesaid unions. The project thematic Area is Agriculture and Food Security.
∎ Job objective: For effective implementation of the planned project activities at the Union level and provide day-to-day support to the project team in achieving the proposed activities.
