Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 2–3 years in community engagement in humanitarian settings
  • Community mobilization and engagement in humanitarian settings
  • WASH awareness, BCC, and campaign implementation
  • Conducting FGDs, community meetings, and outreach
  • Managing volunteers and community teams
  • Activity reporting and community feedback mechanisms Strong knowledge of community engagement, mobilization, and behavior change approaches
  • Understanding of WASH, FSM, SWM, and public health principles in humanitarian settings
  • Experience in facilitating FGDs, community meetings, and awareness campaigns
  • Ability to design and implement community engagement strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Bangla and Rohingya dialect preferred)
  • Ability to manage and supervise community volunteers effectively
  • Knowledge of accountability to affected populations (AAP) and feedback mechanisms
  • Ability to identify social barriers and community risks
  • Skilled in report writing and activity documentation
  • Strong coordination skills with CiC, community leaders, and stakeholders
  • Cultural sensitivity and respect for community dynamics
  • Proactive, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead community mobilization and engagement activities across camps
  • Facilitate awareness sessions on WASH, FSM, SWM, and infrastructure usage
  • Ensure community participation in infrastructure planning and implementation
  • Supervise community volunteers and mobilizers
  • Conduct community meetings, FGDs, and feedback sessions
  • Promote behavioral change beyond hygiene (waste management, facility use, O&M)
  • Identify social risks and community concerns related to WASH services
  • Support grievance redress and accountability mechanisms
  • Maintain records of engagement activities and reports
  • Coordinate with CiC, community leaders, and stakeholders
  • Support emergency community outreach activities
