Master’s degree in social science or equivalent with a minimum of three years of professional experience in the relevant field.

  • Computer skills on MS word, Excel, Power point

  • Must have a valid Motorcycle License and willing to drive motorcycle in field

  • Experience in mobilizing large groups of people and community, especially with Agricultural or shelter and settlement interventions, will be appreciated

  • Familiarity with Online Data Collection tool – Open Data Kit (ODK), KoBo Toolbox will be an asset.

  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written in English and Bangla.



Responsibilities & Context:

Project Name: Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB/ নবপল্লব)

Duration: Initially 1 year from the date of joining with a high possibility of extension based on fund availability & performance.

Reporting to: Upazila Project Officer

Working Conditions: Ecologically Critical Areas of (ECA) NABAPALLAB/ নবপল্লব

Responsibility # 1: Mobilize the Community and Ensure support for the effective implementation of project interventions

  • Frequent field visits and rapport building with the community at the respective union level and the other stakeholders.

  • Sharing objectives of the project with the community members.

  • Collect data for the beneficiary selection survey.

  • Arrange and facilitate court-yard sessions regularly to engage the community.

  • Organize learning and sharing events with the respective stakeholders.

  • Create positive linkages/relationships with all community stakeholders, sensitize them on proper initiatives, and engage them in different project interventions.

Responsibility # 2: Implementation of climate-smart livelihood solutions and disaster-resilient shelter

  • Work with the Upazila Project Officer to carry out locally led and nature-based climate-smart livelihood solutions to drive successful climate action across target sectors and stakeholders and equip communities and participants with tools and techniques to rejuvenate their lost livelihoods and shelters.

  • Support the assessment and participant selecting process, planning and implementing climate/disaster resilient livelihood and shelter schemes for vulnerable and marginal communities to ensure the security of lives and livelihoods by adopting nature-based solutions and ensuring adaptation to climate change.

  • Assess potential and develop mechanisms for market linkage and networking with Private Sectors at the union-level.

Responsibility # 3: Assist in monitoring, reporting and information collection

  • Assist in understanding the progress of intervention through monitoring.

  • Help the Upazila Project Officer to compile monthly reports by providing information.

  • Provide necessary information to the Upazila Project Officer for documentation and any other field information for other requirements of the project

Responsibility # 4: Work closely with identified stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective engagement in project implementation

  • Coordinate with Union Parishad, Consortium members, NGOs and different relevant stakeholders at the union level for effective project implementation.

  • Support the project team in conducting participant selection assessments.

  • Ensure timely and effective communication and coordinate with the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries, the Department of Agricultural Extension and other relevant stakeholders in designing and implementing project activities.

  • Work closely with the UPO development of localized and climate-smart livelihood solutions and implementation.



Job Other Benifits:

    Monthly gross salary will be BDT. 49,873. In addition, CARE offers Provident Fund, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Leave Encashment, Life and Health Insurance, Working Mother Benefits etc.
