∎ Experience in the field of Protection or Community Based Protection activities
∎ Must have proven experience in managing similar projects successfully
∎ At least 2 year(s) experience in Community Based Protection activities along with PSS, referral, store management & emergency support activities in refugee operations.
∎ The candidate should have ability to work independently & must have experience of team management, strong analytical, problem-solving, Conflict Management, decision-making capabilities, Diplomacy, tact & negotiation, implementing comprehensive organizational development projects and work experience with UN sector approach at field implementation level.
∎ Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills are essential
∎ Previous exposure to UN sector approach at field implementation level
∎ Profound management & creative skills in implementing comprehensive organizational development projects
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and reporting skills in English (along with (MS office, KOBO etc.) & effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, proven through successful interactions with all levels of stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The purpose of the position is to carry out the duties & responsibilities of ‘Community Mobilization Associate (CMA)’ under the supervision of ‘Coordinator-CG & RE’ and ensure effective implementation of the organizational Community Based Protection project activities.
∎ Management of Community Groups:
∎ Together with UNHCR and under the supervision of the coordinator, take part in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the community group program activities.
∎ Put in place structure and appropriate means to insure Community Groups is accessible to all refugees according to the type of the groups such as men, women, or youth male & youth female.
∎ Support community groups to be run by the group members in a way which enables the highest level of participation and engagement by members.
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ Together with community group members, the other team and CBP partners identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and required attitudes of the community group and design and facilitate learning/self-development; activities/organize support to improve the community group performance.
∎ Train and coach community group on identified learning needs;
∎ Coordination & Collaboration:
∎ Ensure the community group team are kept abreast of information related to services and relevant actors in the camp;
∎ Attend coordination meetings, share and respond to questions related to the community group Programme and report back key issues/matters that concern the program;
∎ Build a network with other agencies running refugee volunteer programs and maintain an up-to-date mapping of services in the camps;
∎ Ensure dissemination of information by CBP and other service providers to the community group and their supervisors ensuring that they have relevant, up-to-date information necessary to perform their duties.
∎ Feedback & referral:
∎ Regularly review the information collection and referral forms, assess the quality of information obtained, adhere to standards and procedures, address gaps and provide feedback to the Volunteers and their supervisors.
∎ Draft Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on documentation and filing and ensure a decent and secured filing and documentation system is in place in each camp with regular monitoring on compliance to the SOP.
∎ Administration:
∎ Identify, secure and manage space for the community group, training, daily meeting, and other activities conducted by community group;
∎ Facilitate keeping attendance sheet, community groups records, volunteer information, service projects inputs procurement, receive, issue, stock and use plan, warehouse information, reports records, and communication records.
∎ Practice papers and documents as per the guidance of the project unit to ensure payment of service projects, support costs, and other programmatic costs as per the guidance of the community group. Follow the NGOF Rules and Regulations.
∎ Ensure proper planning is in place and the community group need in terms of material supports (equipment, gear, stationery, visibility materials etc.) are met in a timely manner.
∎ Likewise, ensure that the program and community group are equipped with the equipment and utilities needed to perform work. Regularly update operation progress to the line manager.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Collect, review and submit timely and accurate reports on the following:
∎ a. Daily community group activities, types of persons with specific needs identified, actions and recommendations made by the community group
∎ b. A weekly summary of the activities of the community group
∎ c. Detail of specific needs cases under monitoring, actions/measures taken, and outcome
∎ d. Community group basic profile (personal information and training record) and changes in the number of community group members in each camp
∎ e. Daily/Weekly/Biweekly/Monthly report on protection concerns of refugee communities/groups raised by the community group
∎ f. Types and nature of community-based solutions identified by the community group and/or members of the refugee communities
∎ Set up and maintain database, filing, documentation, and record systems to support all the above-mentioned works.
