Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Association for Social Advancement (BASA) a national level Non Government Organization (NGO) is started to implement a project titled "Economic Enhancement through Strengthening Beef and Goat Value Chain (BD2015)" at Mirzapur Upazila under Tangail District with the support of Heifer International Bangladesh. We are looking for suitable, qualified and competent candidates to fill up the position mentioned below:
∎ Job Location: Mirzapur Upazila under Tangail District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate training, exchange visit and follow ups to Self-Help groups (SHGs).
∎ Facilitate SHG meetings under the leadership of the SHG chair.
∎ Home visit and coaching.
∎ Facilitate SHG PSRP (Participatory Self Review and Planning) and document and follow up.
∎ Coordinate with Project Partners, Heifer Office and other stakeholders.
∎ Report and document at the SHG level, including group records.
∎ Facilitate new initiative in the SHG.
∎ Ensure the four basic qualities of a good SHG; group size, commitment to help themselves, group savings and inclusiveness of neighbors.
∎ Ensure project implementation at the SHG level.
∎ Reinforce the Heifer's Cornerstones.
∎ SHG formation and strengthening.
∎ Assist in SHG savings and fund mobilization.
∎ Facilitate Passing on the Gift.
∎ Facilitate SHGs in formation of federation/cooperative, business hubs and milk collection centers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 1 (One) year work experience in any national NGO
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Field or Project Organizer, Monitoring, Supervision, Trainer
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGOs
∎ High potential for or proven community facilitation skills and relevant background.
∎ Communication and negotiation skills.
∎ Trusted in the community.
∎ Can adapt to local conditions (Culture, language, geography)
∎ Willing to work and committed to communities and poor families.
∎ Humble (Can achieve equal status in the minds of project participants)
∎ Positive 'can do' attitude.
∎ Preference given to local community people and women.
∎ Physically fit and energetic.
∎ Creative.
∎ Available full time.
Salary:
∎ Tk.16000
Compensation & Other Benefits:
