Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate in Social Science, Development Studies, Disaster Management, Education, Psychology or any relevant field.

Job Context:
∎ The Child Protection Assistant will be responsible for conducting awareness sessions on child protection issues, facilitate psychosocial group activities with children and positive parenting sessions for parents, mobilize Adolescent support groups, facilitate training focus on adolescent skill; life skill, informal education, pre-vocational training in Multipurpose centers at camps and host community at Ukhia and Teknaf in RI CP implementing area.
∎ Duty Station: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Bangladesh (80% field work, 20% office work)
∎ Report To: Child Protection Program Associate
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: Up to 31st December, 2023 (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate group activities and training focusing on adolescent skills development; life skills, informal education, pre-vocational training adolescents with culture appropriated in the refugee camp and host community.
∎ Support Adolescent support group members to organize the monthly meeting regularly and implement their plan taken in the meeting.
∎ Facilitate and support structured and group psychosocial activities with children and adolescents at multipurpose centers and in the community.
∎ Facilitate Positive Parenting sessions with parents and caregivers.
∎ Conduct post-assessment or post monitoring evaluation of the participants of parenting sessions.
∎ Conduct Problem Management Plus (PM+) session with parents and caregivers.
∎ Ensure proper documentation and follow up of the PM+ receiver.
∎ Attend capacity building and supervision sessions by CP and MHPSS officers.
∎ Recognize the signs and symptoms of emotional & psychological distress and ethical refer the client to the proper services provider.
∎ Document all activities with age and gender-segregated information, collect feedback from participants and prepare reports to include achievements, challenges, way forward, session evaluation and appropriate pictures.
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly report and submit to Child Protection Associate timely.
∎ Work with Child Protection Associates and MPC volunteers to maintain proper documentation of stocks in Multipurpose Centers.
∎ Maintain good coordination/ collaboration with other RI staff and other stakeholders.
∎ Ensure recognized international best practices and Relief International policies are applied in the work with women, girls and vulnerable persons.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Working Experience with Child Protection of NGO/INGO is preferable.
∎ Basic knowledge of Child protection, Child development, PFA, PSS, PSEA, safeguarding, gender sensitivity, participatory approach.
∎ Previous experience facilitates the life-skill training, vocational training (sewing, basic Computer skill) preferable.
∎ Basic Skills in MS Excel & MS Office
∎ Proactive and positive attitude
∎ Good English communications skills both verbal and written
∎ A team builder with excellent people skills
∎ Culturally sensitive and has the ability and interest to identify and work with a multicultural team.

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh.
