Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in data cleansing, processing, manipulation, and extraction (from web pages, PDFs/specs, vendor CSV/XLSX).
• Proficient at multi-tasking while remaining highly detail-oriented and accuracy-focused.
• Practical use of Excel + Python + SQL for catalog/data operations.
• Prior catalog/product data experience is a plus.

Skills & Competencies (must-have):

• Excel power user: Power Query, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, TEXTSPLIT/TEXTJOIN, FILTER, array formulas, data validation, error-proofing.
• Python for data wrangling; basic web parsing (requests/BS4/Playwright).
• SQL for cleaning/joining/QA; comfort with large tables.
• Strong attention to detail; comfort with repetitive but precise workflows; clear documentation.

Job Context

Infoloom Systems LLC is a U.S.-based software/IT service provider serving furniture retailers across the USA. We are building a multi-tenant SaaS platform and supporting applications to replace our existing system (catalog management, e-commerce integrations, retailer services). We’re setting up a full-time on-site team in Vatara, Dhaka and seeking a detail-oriented Catalog Data Specialist to help structure and scale large product catalogs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead large-scale data cleansing & processing in Excel (Power Query, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, TEXTSPLIT/TEXTJOIN, FILTER, array formulas, data validation) to standardize vendor files into import-ready templates.

• Ingest, normalize, and enrich product data from diverse sources (web pages, PDFs/spec sheets, vendor CSV/XLSX); standardize units, dimensions, materials, and key attributes.

• Map products to taxonomy (categories → subcategories → attributes); maintain attribute dictionaries; resolve duplicates/SKU conflicts and handle variant groupings.

• Build dependable Excel workflows with robust checks/error logs to generate importer-ready files.

• Write lightweight Python utilities (pandas; requests/BeautifulSoup/Playwright) to automate extraction, parsing, and transformation.

• Use SQL for QA: joins/lookups, de-duplication, referential-integrity checks, and pre-import audit reports.

• Prepare and maintain image/link inventories; verify URLs, file sizes, aspect ratios, naming conventions, and broken links.

• Collaborate with engineering to improve ETL/import pipelines; document SOPs/checklists and continuously harden data quality gates.

• Support multi-tenant SaaS needs (tenant-aware exports/imports, roles/permissions/plan constraints, audit trails and change logs).
