OKUP promotes and protects human rights, labour rights, justice and dignity of all migrant workers irrespective of genders across borders through putting migrants` perspectives in the centre of migration discourse at all levels through unity and empowerment of migrant workers themselves. ∎ Job Location : Dhaka, OKUP Head Office.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall implementation of the activities of case management department
∎ Document/collect cases and take proper measures to give appropriate social and legal services/assistance to the trafficking survivors/beneficiaries
∎ Maintain a database of survivors/beneficiaries with proper information in using software and register
∎ Conduct day to day follow up and counseling with each beneficiary and input project intervention as per outline
∎ Develop professional relationship with MoEWOE, MoHA, MoSW, MoWCA, BMET, TTC, DEMO, Bar Council, lawyers, Legal Aid Office, recruiting agencies, embassies, consulate offices, immigration department, passport department, health service providers, Law Enforcing Agencies, NGOs, skill training providers etc in order to promote referral services and to carry out the activities smoothly
∎ Prepare assessment and investigation report and assist beneficiary for arbitration in BMET and for case filling in court
∎ Provide airport pick us assistance, shelter support, family reunification assistance, and instant psychosocial support, economic and social reintegration support to the trafficking survivors/beneficiaries through emergency response
∎ Assist shelter home assistant in operating proper shelter services, i.e. counseling, health check up, social and legal support, database maintain, family reunification etc
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports both quantitative and qualitative
∎ Maintain regular communication and effective coordination with management team members, social workers, shelter home assistants and other stakeholders
∎ Ensure 100% standards in financial and logistical management to meet accountability and transparency
∎ Perform any other activity as directed by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ 1 - 2 years working experiences as a community case officer/ social worker/ case management officer, legal officer in NGO, development organizations
∎ In-depth knowledge on BMET arbitration system, judiciary system, court procedures, village court, legal aid committee etc
∎ Working experience with national to community level legal structures and relevant stakeholders
∎ Good experience in documentation and quality report writing
∎ Good command in English both speaking and writing
∎ Leadership and team work
∎ Computer literacy - word, Excel, database management etc
∎ Experience on rights based approach and pursuing rights for a disadvantaged group in the Bangladesh context e.g. migrants community, trafficked people, women, and indigenous community etc.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary 27,000/- (Twenty Seven Thousand taka)
