Responsibilities & Context:
Team Leadership: Supervise pattern makers and marker makers within the CAD section, ensuring work quality and strict adherence to deadlines.
Pattern & Fitting Approval: Ensure patterns are developed according to the buyer’s Tech Pack. Verify and approve fitting and grading accuracy before proceeding to sample making.
Marker Planning & Execution: Oversee the creation of highly efficient markers for all production orders, ensuring optimal placement to meet fabric width and shrinkage requirements.
Cost Optimization: Calculate fabric consumption and maximize marker efficiency to minimize fabric wastage. Reconcile booking consumption with actual cutting consumption.
Cross-functional Coordination: Maintain regular communication with Merchandising, Sample and Production teams to prevent technical issues during bulk production.
Technical Support: Participate in Pre-production Meeting (PPM) and provide technical solutions for any pattern or marker related complexities on the production floor.
Software & Data Management: Maintain libraries, marker archives and back-up files for CAD software such as Gerber, Lectra or Optitex.
