Job Context:
∎ We are looking for Business Development Officer with retail experience for our cosmetic brand. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. The candidate should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
∎ In this position you will be responsible for ensuring that the company`s sales objectives are met by effectively managing the In-House Sales and Distribution Channel for our cosmetic brand. In particular, you will be building strong business relationships with retailers and e-commerce platforms and working with them on their top accounts to co-develop programs for our products and inn-line with our branding.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
∎ Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company's products
∎ Effectively work with the in-house Sales team; meet thee sales targets, employee objectives with frequent progress tracking. Plan and priorities so you have a clear call-frequency with top tier, mid-tier and lower-tier customers. Set up regular sales meetings to on-board clients.
∎ Work with the digital communications team to plan appropriate promotions to the in-house sales channel. Plan, priorities and manage sales activities to achieve sales targets.
∎ Work to develop and implement segment specific marketing strategies regarding the promotion and sales of specific cosmetic products and ensure the corporate channel customers are provided with all relevant product information.
∎ Demonstrate confidence, practical intelligence and accountability for developing the sales, including the indirect customers, and delivering on sales targets. Demonstrate a strategic solution-based selling approach by identifying key decision makers, while successfully positioning and communicating a value proposition.
∎ Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts departments to ensure that company operating policy and procedures are being followed. Follow up with clients to ensure that receivables are being collected on a timely fashion.
∎ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
∎ Identify partnership opportunities
∎ Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
∎ Communicate regularly with vendors, planners, distributors, and buyers regarding stock needs, customer preferences, and special events
∎ Review and analyze business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales results
∎ Be in compliance with all hygiene standards
∎ Ensure timely processing of new receipts, damages, testers, and return to vendors (RTVs) through delegation to self and staff
∎ Maintain existing business
∎ Think critically when planning to assure project success
∎ Be aware of the client needs and provide them commercial solutions and new materials aligned with the market trends and customer budget
∎ Be a technical sales adviser
∎ Ensure payment terms, overview and guarantees with the account
∎ Be the principal point of contact for the client
∎ Lead quotations process to successful conclusion with the development team support
∎ Collect and share market and customer insights to ensure the best client experience and relationship
∎ Positive attitude, highly motivated, and high energy level
∎ Good interpersonal skills and ability to promote a team environment
∎ Solid problem solving skills using a variety of statistical and root cause tools
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills
∎ Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures
∎ Ability to handle stressful situations
∎ Excellent organisational skills that promote efficiency and leadership
∎ Ability to correct negative behaviour fairly and consistently
∎ Ability to handle confidential information
∎ Represent the company in the community and promotion of the company's goodwill
∎ Flexible working hours, overtime and travel required
∎ Self-starter that can operate efficiently within ambiguous situations
∎ Ability to work with a team and do whatever needs to be done
∎ Manage and implement all company practice
∎ Perform other duties as necessary and required

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in retail sales or experience with cosmetics products preferred. Experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable + target based monthly sales incentive.
