Bull handling

experience Artificial insemination and semen collection knowledge Record keeping and reporting

Team supervision

Animal health observation

Biosecurity and farm safety awareness

Basic computer skills (MS Excel/record management systems)

Semen Collection

• Collect semen from breeding bulls following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and animal welfare guidelines.

Bull Health Monitoring

• Observe bulls daily for signs of illness, injury, stress, or reproductive problems and report concerns promptly.

Bull Handling and Safety

• Safely restrain, move, and manage bulls during collection, exercise, weighing, and veterinary procedures.

Shed Management

• Ensure bull sheds, collection areas, and surrounding facilities remain clean, hygienic, and well-maintained.

Feeding and Watering Supervision

• Monitor feed distribution, water availability, and adherence to nutrition programs for all bulls.

Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of semen collections, bull performance, health treatments, feed intake, and inventory.

Biosecurity Compliance

• Implement and monitor biosecurity measures to prevent disease introduction and spread within the station.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain collection equipment, dummy mounts, weighing scales, and other station facilities.

Staff Supervision

• Coordinate and supervise animal attendants and shed workers to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.

Quality and Welfare Assurance

• Support semen quality objectives while ensuring high standards of animal welfare, safety, and regulatory compliance.
