Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare and plan seed production schedule by seed production targets indicated by management for the year.
∎ Contribute to the screening and selection of out-growers for yearly seed production activities.
∎ Participate in planting, rouging, de-tasseling, and harvesting as well as provide technical backstopping on recommended agricultural practices for seed production.
∎ Monitor and ensure quality control standards for production.
∎ Organize farmer’s meetings, season wise farmer’s training/orientation, follow-up
∎ Maintain records for seed production outputs, farm management practices.
∎ Implement and enforce quality assurances and control, tracking of programs to meet quality objectives.
∎ Establishment of demonstration plots and high-way seed plots for training farmers on good agricultural practices.
∎ Prepare and maintain seed production reports.Conduct 100% inspection of all seed production fields at least 3 to 4 times in the crop cycle
∎ Any other responsibility assigned by Line Manager or the Management.
