Job Responsibilities:
∎ Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
∎ Providing customers with drink menus and answering their questions regarding ingredients
∎ Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
∎ Taking orders while paying attention to details (preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
∎ Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar.
∎ Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
∎ Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.
∎ Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
∎ Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
∎ Stock bar with related items, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
∎ Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods.
∎ Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
∎ Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
∎ Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
∎ Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus
∎ Familiarity with telephone, office, and point -of -sale software
∎ Ability to read and speak English proficiently
∎ Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
∎ Ability to problem solve quickly
∎ Knowledge of sanitation regulations
∎ Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
∎ Flexibility to work various shifts
∎ Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
∎ Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
∎ Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
