About the Role
Q HOTEL Dhaka is looking for energetic and service-oriented Banquet Servers to deliver efficient and professional food & beverage service during meetings, conferences, weddings, corporate functions and special events. You will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining the high standards of a five-star hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up banquet function rooms according to approved floor plans and event requirements.

• Arrange tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware and other service equipment.

• Ensure all tables and function areas are clean, organized and properly presented before guests arrive.

• Attend pre-function briefings and understand event requirements, menus and service procedures.

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout the event.

• Serve food and beverages according to established hotel service standards.

• Assist with buffet, set-menu, plated, cocktail and coffee-break services.

• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.

• Maintain proper table-service techniques and service sequence.

• Refill water, beverages and other items as required.

• Clear used plates, glasses, cutlery and other items efficiently during and after service.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the function area throughout the event.

• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.

• Communicate guest requirements, special requests and dietary restrictions to the Banquet Captain.

• Assist with VIP arrangements and special event requirements.

• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Stewarding and Banquet Captain to ensure smooth service.

• Assist with buffet replenishment and maintain buffet presentation standards.

• Handle hotel equipment, crockery, glassware and operating supplies carefully.

• Report breakages, damaged equipment, shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

• Assist with setting up and dismantling function rooms before and after events.

• Ensure all banquet equipment and service items are returned to the appropriate storage areas.

• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.

• Maintain high standards of personal grooming and professional appearance.

• Assist other F&B outlets when required based on operational needs.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager or F&B Manager.
