Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Develop, implement, and update comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols for the hotel and resort.
Oversee 24/7 security operations, including perimeter patrols, gate controls, and surveillance systems (CCTV, access control).
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities across the resort grounds, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.
Coordinate security measures for VIP guests, high-profile events, and large gatherings.
Lead the hotel’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and act as the primary incident commander during crises (e.g., fires, medical emergencies, natural disasters, threats).
Ensure strict compliance with local fire safety codes, health regulations, OSHA/occupational safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Conduct regular fire drills, safety orientations, and emergency evacuation training for all hotel staff.
Maintain thorough incident reports and investigate breaches, thefts, or accidents objectively.
Serve as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, municipal authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Manage and renew all mandatory operating licenses, permits, and clearances required for running a hospitality establishment.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and local administrative regulations concerning property operations.
Manage administrative office workflows, general correspondence, and filing systems for the department.
Oversee the lost-and-found property management system, ensuring proper logging, storage, and disposal or return of items.
Coordinate transport or fleet management administration if the resort operates guest transfer vehicles or shuttle services.
Assist human resources with background verification processes for new hires to protect organizational integrity.
Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor the in-house security team and outsourced security guard agencies.
Monitor and manage the department’s operational and capital budget, looking for efficiency in security technology and staffing.
Conduct performance evaluations and foster a proactive, customer-service-oriented security culture (balancing firmness with hospitality).
