• Previous experience is a must

• Proficiency with digital tools such as Monday.com, Arthur CRM, Zoom, Gmail, and WhatsApp

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home working environment

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails.

• Build and support backend services that seamlessly integrate with frontend applications developed in React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints to support web and mobile applications.

• Develop and manage both relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, role-based access control, etc.).

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Optimisation & Performance

• Optimise backend performance to ensure high availability, scalability, and low latency.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through profiling, query optimisation, and caching strategies (Redis, in-memory caching, etc.).

• Ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and indexing strategies.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features.

• Participate in technical discussions, architecture planning, and sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

• Work with QA teams to fix bugs, improve system stability, and ensure smooth releases.

Infrastructure, Security & Maintenance

• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment configuration.

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and uptime.

• Implement security best practices, including data protection, API security, and vulnerability mitigation.

• Maintain and improve existing systems, refactor legacy code, and contribute to technical debt reduction.
