Job Context:
∎ To be overall responsible for the business of his/ her team.
∎ Assist in establishing & enhancing business relationships with customers & vendors to maximize business growth.
∎ To build the team spirit.
∎ To develop and expand business opportunities with the customers and vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Order Management
∎ Supervise team's merchandising activities in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction & on-time delivery.
∎ Common activities include:-
∎ Negotiate & finalize price with customers & vendors.
∎ Confirm orders with the customers.
∎ Resolve sample & product defects & issues with customers.
∎ Resolve conflicts between buyers & factories.
∎ Short listing of partner factories suitable to business model.
∎ 2. Customer Relationship Management
∎ Work closely with the Sr.MM and establish & enhance long term business relationships with customers through provision of quality customer service to maximize business growth.
∎ Common activities include:-
∎ Participate in buyer's meeting & customers on buyer's trip
∎ Accompany Handle customer's enquiries complaints & claims
∎ 3. Team Management
∎ Supervise the team to achieve to enhance service delivery & operation efficiency
∎ Common activities include:-
∎ Supervise & delegate work to team/subordinates.
∎ Assist managing the team operations.
∎ Work out solution to problem with subordinates.
∎ Build team spirit.
∎ Coach subordinates.
∎ Develop Career Path for Team.
∎ Interviewing and selecting and hiring the best talent.
∎ 4. Product Development
∎ Work closely with Sr.MM and Provide advice & suggestions on product design to meet customer's buying objectives
∎ Common activities include:-
∎ Source material, accessories or new vendors.
∎ Provide advice on design and samples to meet customer's requirements
∎ Advise customers on market trends
∎ 5. Business Development
∎ Support the Sr.MM in developing new business opportunities with customers.
∎ Common activities include:-
∎ Understand the business strategies/principles of corporate.
∎ Partner with Vendor to build his capabilities.
∎ Partner with Vendor to build knowledge about the customer and his needs.
∎ Negotiation on timelines and delivery quality with vendor.
∎ Negotiation on price in detail with vendor - along with vendor wise comparison to achieve competitive price-value point.
∎ Build & maintain strong business relationships with vendors.
∎ Evaluate vendor's capability.
∎ Manage the process for Vendor Performance tracking.
∎ Building a sense of ownership with the Vendor. Minimize follow-ups.
