Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a highly organized Asst. Manager/Sr. Executive (Shipping Operation & Management) to oversee terminal operation at the Cement Plant. Good Knowledge of Jetty Terminal Handling, Vessel Survey, Silo & Field raw material Survey & Stock keeping, Quantity survey reporting, new raw material demand. Require excellent understanding and knowledge of Sea Vessel Unloading Operation, Vessel repair & maintenance and Vessel Surveying techniques, Vessel technology, and Vessel.
Supervise and track the unloading process of mother vessels at the port.
Maintain and share daily ship operational reports with concerned departments.
Monitor the activities of all chartered/coastal vessels.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of all operational records.
Act as the communication bridge between with production dept. and supply chain dept. regarding vessel-related operations.
Ensure timely flow of unloading operational information and updates across locations.
Manage the end-to-end process of all relevant bills (discharge, charter hire, agency, stevedoring, etc.).
Verify and coordinate approvals and submission to Finance for timely payment.
Negotiating the price of shipment transportation with carriers.
Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency.
Processing shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders.
Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.
Hiring, training, and supervising shipping employees.
Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.
Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.
Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.
Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies
