We are seeking a highly organized Marine Surveyor to oversee terminal operation at the Cement Plant. Good Knowledge of Jetty Terminal handling, Vessel survey, Silo & field raw material survey, Quantity survey reporting, new raw material demand. To ensure success as a shipping survey expert, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of marine survey and demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Special requirement: Practical experience as a Sea-Vessel/Ship Surveyor, particularly in Cement Mills.

Require excellent understanding and knowledge of sea vessel surveys, vessel repair, and vessel surveying techniques, vessel technology, and vessel operations.

• Inspecting incoming sea vessels to ascertain that, incoming materials are fully compliance with specifications and matched with the shipping documents.

• Conduct thorough surveys to measure incoming sea vessels as per standard method and calculate the volume of raw materials that have been shipped from suppliers and match with the shipping document. 

• Ensuring efficient & timely unloading process of materials in collaboration with Supply Chain, mother vessel crews, and logistics team of Lighter vessels.

• Maintaining proper communication with other functional departments like; Supply chain, Production, Store, etc.

• Reporting to the respective authority in case of arising out any discrepancies regarding quantity, quality, and overall condition of incoming materials.

• Supervise and track the unloading process of mother vessels at the port.

• Maintain and share daily ship operational reports with concerned departments.

• Monitor the activities of all chartered/coastal vessels.

• Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of all operational records.

• Act as the communication bridge between with production dept. and supply chain dept. regarding vessel-related operations.

• Ensure timely flow of unloading operational information and updates across locations.

• Manage the end-to-end process of all relevant bills (discharge, charter hire, agency, stevedoring, etc.).

• Verify and coordinate approvals and submission to Finance for timely payment.

• Negotiating the price of shipment transportation with carriers.

• Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency.

• Processing shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders.

• Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.

• Hiring, training, and supervising shipping employees.

• Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.

• Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.

• Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.

• Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
