Experience:
5–10 years of relevant Industrial Engineering experience in a sweater manufacturing factory.
Minimum 1–2 years in a leadership role such as Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager – IE.
Strong knowledge of sweater manufacturing processes including Knitting, Linking, Washing, Finishing, and Packing.
Develop and implement efficient production layouts, workstation designs, and process flows for knitting, linking, washing, finishing, quality inspection, and packing operations using Industrial Engineering techniques.
Conduct operation breakdowns, time studies, motion studies, SMV validation, and method improvements to establish accurate production standards.
Prepare capacity plans and manpower requirements based on production plans and machine availability.
Balance production lines and allocate operators effectively to minimize Work-in-Process (WIP), bottlenecks, and idle time.
Monitor hourly production, efficiency, utilization, and target achievement across all sweater production processes, taking corrective actions where necessary.
Analyze production losses, non-productive time (NPT), machine downtime, and operator idle time, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead root cause analysis for low productivity, production delays, and efficiency gaps, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Develop operator skill matrices, conduct skill assessments, grading, and multi-skilling programs to improve workforce flexibility.
Train supervisors, line leaders, and operators on standard methods, best practices, productivity improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including efficiency, capacity utilization, labor productivity, WIP, NPT, NPOT, absenteeism, and production attainment.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Merchandising, and HR teams to ensure smooth production flow and on-time shipment.
Monitor Defects per Hundred Units (DHU), rework, rejection rates, and process compliance, working closely with Quality to improve first-pass yield.
Support new style development by conducting feasibility studies, pilot runs, process validation, and production risk assessments.
Optimize machine utilization, knitting program efficiency, linking capacity, and finishing processes to maximize productivity.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE reports including efficiency analysis, productivity trends, capacity studies, manpower utilization, cost analysis, and management dashboards.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement (CI), and waste elimination initiatives throughout the sweater factory.
Participate in factory productivity improvement projects, automation initiatives, and digital IE implementation where applicable.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
