Job Context
The Assistant Manager – IT is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT infrastructure, systems, and digital solutions at the factory level and its associated business sites in Bangladesh. The role ensures uninterrupted operation of all IT-related functions in support of production, compliance, administration, and security. The position holder of this role also leads digital transformation initiatives, safeguards data and systems, and aligns IT services with business and operational needs. This position reports directly to the Group IT Director.
Job Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
Responsibilities:
Manage the factory’s IT network, servers, and hardware to ensure consistent uptime.
Oversee preventive maintenance and disaster recovery readiness.
Support all operational systems including ERP, HRMS, TMIS, MES, attendance, security systems and any other IT based hardware solutions.
KPIs:
System Uptime Rate: ≥ 99.5%
Backup Success Rate: 100% scheduled backups executed without failure
Infrastructure Issue Resolution Time: 90% resolved within SLA
2. User Support & Helpdesk Management
Responsibilities:
Lead IT support team to resolve user issues related to hardware, software, and network access.
Ensure proper ticketing system and knowledgebase for troubleshooting.
KPIs:
Helpdesk First Response Time: ≤ 30 minutes (average)
Ticket Resolution Time: 90% within 24 hours
User Satisfaction Score: ≥ 85% (via feedback survey)
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce cybersecurity controls including firewall, antivirus, user access control, etc.
Ensure data protection, encryption, and backup recovery procedures.
Conduct periodic vulnerability scans and drills.
KPIs:
Number of Critical Security Incidents: 0
Endpoint Security Coverage: 100%
Quarterly Disaster Recovery Drills: 1 per quarter completed successfully.
4. ERP & Factory System Integration
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth operation and user access to ERP and any other systems.
Provide front-line support and coordination for ERP issues and upgrades.
Train users and ensure data integrity.
KPIs:
ERP Uptime: ≥ 99%
ERP Ticket Resolution Rate: ≥ 95% within SLA
ERP User Adoption Rate: ≥ 90%
5. IT Compliance & Governance
Responsibilities:
Maintain IT asset inventory, licensing, and audit documentation.
Comply with internal IT policies, BEPZA regulations, and external audit requirements.
KPIs:
IT Asset Accuracy: ≥ 98%
Compliance Audit Findings: 0 major non-conformities
Documentation Timeliness: 100% of changes logged within 24 hours
6. Budget & Vendor Management
Responsibilities:
Prepare annual IT budget for factory and monitor utilization.
Manage IT vendors and service contracts (hardware, software, ISP, etc.).
KPIs:
Budget Deviation: ≤ +/- 0.8%
Vendor SLA Compliance: ≥ 90%
Procurement Lead Time: ≤ 15 working days
7. Digitalization & Project Implementation
Responsibilities:
Lead IT-related improvement projects (e.g., ERP implementation, digital dashboards, automation, paperless initiatives).
Support IT monitoring, traceability, and compliance systems implementation.
KPIs:
Project Delivery Timeliness: ≥ 99% on-time
Digital Coverage Growth: % increase in processes digitized annually
Cost/Time Savings from IT Projects: Documented evidence of impact
Salary review after successful completion of probationary period along with guaranteed allowance of BDT 4,000.
