About the Role

• We are an early-stage startup building a scalable backend architecture to support an expanding user base currently in the hundreds of thousands. We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals to join our core team. You will have the opportunity to lead the development of specific backend modules and gain hands-on experience across our entire infrastructure, from database management to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Implementation: Translate business requirements into technical logic with a focus on foresight, ensuring code is scalable, reusable, and follows standardized patterns.
• Core Development: Develop and maintain robust APIs using Django REST Framework, prioritizing clean and maintainable codebases.
• Database & Performance: Collaborate on PostgreSQL schema design and optimize queries to ensure system reliability as our user base grows.
• Asynchronous Processing: Manage and monitor background tasks using Celery and Redis to maintain high system performance.
• Infrastructure Support: Contribute to the deployment and containerization process using Docker and Nginx.
