Additional Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Solar PV modules, project-based sales and Bangladesh’s renewable energy market.

  • Experience in Local sales, with a focus on Solar Energy or Electrical & Electronics products.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Knowledge of market analysis, forecasting and reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data.

  • Willingness to travel locally as required.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Assistant Manager, Local Sales will be responsible for driving business growth in the Solar PV Module segment within the local market. The role focuses on developing and executing effective sales strategies, expanding the customer base, managing sales activities, and strengthening relationships with key clients and stakeholders. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable energy solutions while ensuring the achievement of sales targets and organizational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic local sales and business development plans to achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.

  • Proactively generate additional sales from both new and existing customers of wholesale & retail market, including EPC contractors, distributors, project developers, and institutional clients.

  • Identify opportunities to grow Solar PV module sales by assessing customer requirements, project pipelines, and market demand.

  • Track, analyze, and maintain customer sales history, purchasing patterns, and account performance to support informed decision-making.

  • Identify evolving market demand, competitor activities, and key product features to support effective product positioning.

  • Establish, develop, and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies, pricing approaches, and go-to-market plans accordingly.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure alignment between sales commitments and delivery capabilities.

  • Prepare and present periodic sales performance reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to senior management.

  • Attend industry events, trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking programs to promote Solar PV products and expand business networks.

  • Maintain working knowledge of sales & delivery documentation and basic trade regulations as required for coordination and planning purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.

  • Support management in guiding junior sales team members and coordinating local sales activities as assigned.
