Asst. Manager (Tobacco Leaf Operation)

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage & lead by Agronomy Technician (Field supervisor) and Leaf buying team to produce desire quality as well as Buy Tobacco as per company volume & quality requirement.

• Yearly planning & execution (Budget, Farmer selection & registration, Farmers contract, Technical support to farmers, input distribution, Internal grade wise Buying planning, Leaf buying average setup, Buyer movement & accommodation etc.) & ensure the target volume, quality achievement and cost minimization.

• Guide the team as companies target wise, in case of Farmer registration, input distribution logistic, Leaf Buying logistic, Buyer setup, daily pulling plan, number of Buying days etc.

• Supervise & monitor Agronomy Technician activities, Leaf Buying management & Leaf Buying process based on Leaf quality, average price, market dynamics, open market etc. and guide the team if required.

• Liaison maintenance with others company, internal & external stakeholder at represent the company any stakeholder meetings.

• Ensure to select right farmers that produce good quality Tobacco as well as supply to company as per volume target. Also start to select farmers from previous year Buying and complete registration with proper signature before start plantation.

• Develop people (Buyer, ATs & office staffs) and make sure, they can understand their job & responsibility properly.

• Ensure to provide technical support to farmers as well as train up farmers to grow quality Tobacco through Area Leaf manager, Leaf Buyer & ATs.

• Ensure the Leaf Buying team is highly disciplined in every aspect of Buying operation, monitor & effectively manage the Buying team to uphold with honesty. And ensure the Tobacco quality purchase are in line with company expectation.

• Ensure proactive plan as companies target wise Tobacco Buying starting, number of Buying days & Buying average. An ensure Buyer set up.

• Ensure & train up all Agronomy technician& Buyer on classification grade and mark the grade during buying as well as after Buying/Grading as per requirement.

• Ensure proper warehousing as well as store & deliver Tobacco as per requirement.

• Ensure seasonal & labor team as per requirement of buying, loading & unloading.

• Ensure & monitor different post Buying activities like Classification, Grading & processing.

• Above all, starting from farmers tobacco seedbed preparation, seedling plantation, intercultural operation, fertilization, topping, curing, baling, purchasing, classifying good quality tobacco. processing, warehousing and assisting with export it and overall inform top management/line manager about all of the reporting.
