Job Context:
∎ iDE Bangladesh is seeking an Associate Director of Operations (AD-O) whose primary responsibility would be to ensure high quality implementation of the right processes and practices across iDE Bangladesh. It includes formulating strategies, improving performance, procuring materials and resources and securing compliance across the functions of administration, HR and IT management leading and supervising a team of experts in HR, Admin and IT.
∎ The Associate Director - Operations manages the operational resources of iDE Bangladesh and is responsible for seamless integration and execution of administration, human resources and IT management systems, procedures, and processes.
∎ iDE prides itself as a leading institution in market-based approaches to design bespoke innovative solutions in sectors such as agriculture, water, sanitation & hygiene and finance. AD-O must iterate these norms and values in their approach and attitude.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, with occasional travel to the field
∎ Reporting Line: Director of Finance and Operations
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The key responsibilities of the AD-O will include the following:
∎ Human Resources:
∎ Oversees payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, off-boarding, employee check-ins and exit interviews, and other human resource activities as needed;
∎ Develops and updates related policies in light with country laws, donor's guidelines and global requirements
∎ Assures compliance with applicable HR, employment and personnel laws and regulations;
∎ Ensures that the HR system has updated personnel and operations policies and procedures and ensure compliance;
∎ Ensures that HR unit periodically trains and orients staff on personnel policies and procedures;
∎ Plans and develops organizational performance management systems in partnership with the global team.
∎ Operations, technology and systems:
∎ Oversees management and maintenance of all office systems and facilities including IT;
∎ Develops and update related policies in light with country laws, donor's guidelines and global requirements
∎ Oversees procurement policies and ensures all procurement processes follow the policy and standard.
∎ Oversees organizational insurance policies and ensure organization is adequately covered;
∎ Ensures emergency and security policies and procedures are understood and followed, including cyber-security procedures;
∎ Oversees compliance with GoB registration and reporting obligations, including NGO AB procedures, guidelines and regulations.
∎ Ensuring office safety and security as focal person of safety and security of iDE Bangladesh
Additional Requirements:
∎ Work Experience:
∎ At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 8+ years of broad nonprofit operations management experience in leading and managing diversely skilled teams; International experience would be considered as added value.
∎ At least 5 years of managerial experience developing policies, procedures and systems on HRM, Administration, Procurement and IT.
∎ In depth understanding on Labor Laws and other related statutory and donor compliance
∎ Hands on experience of dealing with NGOAB, various ministries, SB, NSI etc.

∎ Serves as a vital member of the SMT and to ensure all fiscal policies, procedures and documentation requirements are adequate to protect the organization.
