∎ REGATTA GROUP is a renowned outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment company with its Head office in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are looking for a knowledgeable, efficient and hardworking Assistant QC Manager at Bangladesh Liaison Office for Dare 2 B unit.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (have to visit factories regular basis all over Bangladesh)
∎ Reporting to: BUYING DIRECTOR (Regatta UK).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with UK and China teams to produce on-time, quality development and salesman samples.
∎ Participate in seasonal bulk handover from the China team, after Salesman Sample programme is completed, to gain detailed understanding of all garment comments & final specifications.
∎ Following seasonal handover, work closely with the garment factory technicians to resolve any manufacturing issues that may be encountered prior to production.
∎ Make recommendations to UK/ China if garment factory technicians request changes to specifications for ease of manufacture/ to improve quality/ product engineering. Be aware that any amendments to specifications are subject to authorisation from the UK team.
∎ Carry out approval of approval and pre-production samples against the latest specification/comments received from the UK bulk team and salesman sample comments from UK.
∎ Carry out bulk and in-line garment inspections per the agreed schedule. Responsible for organising weekly schedule with the senior QC.
∎ Report any serious quality issues immediately to the UK team.
∎ Approve all local source components and zippers prior to production starting.
∎ Approve Bangladesh nominated and local fabric for lab dips and bulk.
∎ Ensure that all garment inspections are recorded, filed and available for UK bulk team’s reference, and also submitted to the garment Factory Manager.
∎ At final inspections, gain the signature of the garment Factory Manager on the inspection report to ensure that all points will be improved where feasible, before shipment.
∎ Maintain the QC workroom with seasonal bulk samples logged and stored in an orderly manner. Refer to previous bulk samples when approving any ‘rebuy’ styles to avoid continuity issues.
∎ Keep Dhaka office technical style files up to date with latest garment specification, sample comments and bulk trims, for the purpose of bulk inspections (approved quality), style & colour continuity, and to demonstrate due diligence.
∎ Maintain QC aspects of the critical path, in order that bulk production progresses in a timely manner, ensuring that the system is updated daily, in conjunction with the merchandiser.
∎ As a representative of the Regatta Group, be observant and diligent when visiting our factories, ensuring that any critical Ethical Trading, Health & Safety and Environmental issues are highlighted to the UK bulk team, for immediate review.
∎ To undertake such tasks and duties as may reasonably be requested by your Manager or other members of the Management team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years’ work experience.
∎ Working to AQL procedure, grade 1 quality for European market.
∎ Woven’s and knits, including high specification taped waterproof and padded garments.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience with a reputed brand or buying office.
∎ Candidate should have knowledge in product quality, garments AQL, Inline & capability analysis. Also, should have good knowledge about trims.
∎ Candidate should be experience of liaising with various suppliers in Bangladesh & China to agree and make schedules and resolve issues immediately.
∎ Computer literacy & Good in English language skill.
∎ Excellent knowledge in Garments Quality.
∎ Able to work independently and act proactively.
∎ Strong leadership and team management and skill.
∎ Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access).
∎ Able to communicate effectively with all levels.
∎ Confident with “Can do” attitude.
∎ Strong interpersonal skill.
∎ Good analytical mind and problem-solving skill
