Job Context:
∎ TROSA2: Rivers, Right and Resilience is funded by the Government of Sweden (SIDA) and implementing in Bangladesh jointly by Oxfam, and its partner organization RDRS Bangladesh and Center for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS). The program aimed to ensure that riverine communities uphold their rights, build their resilience, and participate in water resource management in the transboundary river basins of Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM). TROSA 2 will focus to strengthen resilience to climate change and environmental and natural disasters of riparian communities in the transboundary GBM river basins. The project will work on the following outcomes- i) Strengthened climate-resilient livelihoods of communities living in the transboundary GBM river basins, ii) Improved and inclusive management of transboundary river ecosystems and protection of biodiversity across the GBM river basins, iii) Strengthened leadership of civil society, especially women, Indigenous People, and youth to influence government and private sector on water governance across and between the transboundary GBM basins, and iv) Strengthened cooperation, collaboration and accountability across and between the transboundary GBM river basins.
∎ Through partnership and innovation, the program aims to contribute to progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide field level support to the Community Volunteers in community engagement, climate resilient agriculture, livelihood diversification, early warning system, bio-diversity conservation, and other relevant areas.
∎ Mobilize Local Service Providers (LSPs) inClimate Resilience livelihood and eco-system restoration.
∎ Support the Project Officer to coordinate with local governments, Govt. line departments, private sectors, NGOs, civil societies, and relevant stakeholders.
∎ Provide day-to- day operational support to Community Volunteers including capacity building.
∎ Responsible for timely implementation of DIP activity.
∎ Support PO to prepare progress report, success story and other reports as requirement of the project.
∎ Assist Project Officer and Project Coordinator to prepare yearly plan of operation with detailed budget under TROSA2 project.
∎ Promote community-led adaptation for strengthening climate resilience of the community.
∎ Conduct climate vulnerability assessment and other surveys.
∎ Explore consumer and market actor engagement in fisheries sector.
∎ Arrange and facilitate dialogues between fisherfolk and fisheries authorities to enhance communication, understanding, and collaboration for effective fisheries management.
∎ Assist to mobilize the communities in establishingthe transboundary network.
∎ Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual technical and financial reports.
∎ Ensure timely, effective implementation of project activities as per project work plan.
∎ Assist to conduct project study and evaluations in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
∎ Understanding on Gender and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly.
∎ Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Sound knowledge on agriculture/climate change/advocacy project implementation and management;
∎ Excellent presentation skills and Strong interpersonal skills;
∎ Relevant working experience in water governance in specific or natural resource governance in general (Desired);
∎ Some experience of voluntary social work or working with voluntary organizations;
∎ Experience of facilitating trainings, workshops, and other forms of capacity building activities;
∎ Strong commitment to the rights of the most marginal communities;
∎ Strong commitment to the conservation of river ecosystems;
∎ Strong commitment to the values of accountability, inclusiveness, and empowerment;
∎ Strong commitment towards gender inclusion and child rights in specific;
∎ Respect towards voluntarism and civil society activism;
∎ Capacity to deal with a diverse range of stakeholder including from government, private sector, civil society and grassroots communities;
∎ Forward looking and visionary;
∎ Age may be relaxed for deserving candidates.

Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
