Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in any discipline in Textile Engineering
∎ Bachelor in Textile Engineering from a reputed university or Minimum MBA/ BBA (Equivalent Certificate) on merchandising
∎ Skills Required: Motivational skill, Negotiation Skill, Self-motivated
Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 12 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Probation Period - 6 Months
∎ Key Points:
∎ • Must be able to handle big quantities.
∎ • Must have working experience with H&M
∎ • Should be capable to develop any kind of woven product (Top-Bottom, Girls, Boys, Ladies, Men`s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Buyer Correspondence
∎ Sample development
∎ To negotiate labels, lining, fabric and metal items' price.
∎ To check consumption
∎ To follow up L/C opening and receiving.
∎ To develop shade band and submit to buyer for approval & follow up
∎ Art work submission and getting approval
∎ To send trims swatch cards to buyer for approval
∎ To follow up production and shipment
∎ To update Inspection booking schedule through internet and inform to buyer
∎ To Prepare order file for buyer QA
∎ To update & follow up order information with planning department.
∎ P/I sign back
∎ To make T & A and update within 15 days
∎ To make executive summary sheet as factory requirement
∎ To develop of sealed sample, size set sample, testing samples and getting comments from the buyers
∎ Settlement of claim issues for Fabric and trims
∎ To Prepare closing summary
∎ Booking of Fabric, Trims & Accessories
∎ To make trim card and approval follow up
∎ To follow up safety issues.
∎ Work in process update to buyer
∎ Pin set up & data sheet collection process from buyer.
∎ To prepare inspection schedule
∎ Relation with buyers
∎ To attend PP meeting to start production.
∎ To attend day to day production affairs
∎ To follow up on samples proceeds
∎ TC application and update to buyer
∎ To update & follow up order information with planning dept. (Sewing & wash) & fixing PCD and PSD.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Buying House /Renowned group of companies etc.
∎ Experience in International Buying House / Trading House and Liaison office will be added advantage.
∎ Good knowledge of suppliers concerning price, quality, capacity & lead-times.
∎ Must have practical experience as Merchandiser, also must have experience on technical production side.
∎ Ability to cost, communicate with buyers, book price goods & follow up for approvals, shipment.
∎ Must have good communication skills in English and be able to keep excellent records for order follow up.
∎ Team player, Proactive.
∎ In depth knowledge in planning and supply chain management.
∎ Priority will be given Fashion Technology/textiles students.
