• Bachelor's degree in textile engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in yarn sourcing or procurement, preferably in the Denim textile or apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, including yarn spinning and dyeing.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and cultures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP or procurement software preferred.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the textile industry is a plus.
• Skills & Expertise: Good command In English Technical knowledge.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Asst. Manager (Yarn Procurement / Sourcing / Development). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of yarn scouring to support our denim fabric manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile sourcing, with a focus on yarn, and a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships.

Job Location: Cumilla EPZ, Cumilla-3500

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive yarn sourcing strategy aligned with the company`s business objectives and production requirements.

• Identify and evaluate potential yarn suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with yarn suppliers to ensure competitive advantage and optimal cost-efficiency.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with yarn suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration to address any issues or concerns.

• Monitor market trends, including raw material prices and availability, to anticipate potential risks or opportunities and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.

• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including production, Planning, R&D, Marketing, and quality assurance teams, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of yarn materials to meet production schedules and quality standards.

• Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to assess quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual agreements, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to yarn sourcing, including environmental and ethical considerations, and ensure compliance across the supply chain.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes, streamline operations, and drive cost savings.

• Prepare and present regular reports and updates on yarn sourcing activities, including key performance metrics and supplier performance reviews, to senior management.
